Your A-Typical Guide to Venture Capital in Germany: Shoes.

When your managing partner calls you to ask where the latest landscape is, it’s time to get creative (and potentially piss people off…). The wait is over.

I’ve made many ‘Founder Guides to Venture Capital’ before, but a logo and a ticket-size range only tell you so much. The inspiration for this new cheeky guide comes from a conversation I had with one of the Peak portfolio founders’ who was fundraising in Germany.

He went from “you’re all the same” before the raise, to “I get what you mean” afterward.

They say you can never really understand a person until you walk a mile in their shoes. To understand investors, look down.

Introducing the A-typical Guide to Venture Capital in Germany.

I want to give a formal shout-out to Capnamic for actually designing their own shoe every year.

Thank you to all those who helped brainstorm. I am curious about what you have in your closet. Please let me know who I’m missing (only focused on early-stage venture capital funds in Germany) -and who I got wrong 😉

Till next time.
